Illinois man given jail sentence for part in high speed chase and drug discovery

The second of four suspects arrested in December 2022 following a high-speed chase, ending with police finding a large amount of cocaine, was sentenced on Monday morning for his part in the events.

Vernard Glover, 29, of Chicago, was sentenced to 120 days in jail, convicted of misdemeanor operating a vehicle without consent and obstructing an officer. Charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and receiving or concealing stolen property were dismissed, but read into the record.
